After a lot of thought, we have decided to move the company from Addaero to Training Peaks. For those of you that are familiar with Training Peaks, you know this is a HUGE step forward for the company. AJBC is a premium coaching company and we deserve to work with the absolute best training software. Training Peaks provides just that.

To be clear, AJBC is absorbing all costs associated with moving the company to Training Peaks. As long as you are fine with using the basic account with Training Peaks, there will be NO ADDITIONAL COST. If you are a “data nerd” and want to use Training Peaks to its full potential, then you may want to consider upgrading to a Premium Account. The first step for everyone is creating a Training Peaks account or linking an already existing account. The coaches will most likely start writing schedules on Training Peaks this week. So do not wait to do this. Not everyone will start on Training Peaks this week. The coaches will most likely transition their clients to Training Peaks when it is most convenient. That means some people will start this week, some next week, but everyone before May 1st.

We realize that change is never easy, so we are asking everyone to be very patient as we all get used to this new platform. It is a much better platform than Addaero, but it is different. Take a second to download the Training Peaks app as well. The app is way better than the Addaero app and we expect most of our clients to use that regularly.

What else will change? The way our clients communicate with their coach will change. Previously, a lot of communication happened via email when a client logged their workout. With Training Peaks, the coach will not get an email when a client logs their workout (unless the athlete has paid to upgrade to a premium account). Therefore, our coaching staff will have to log into Training Peaks to see everyone’s progress. Once a coach gives feedback on a workout, the client will need to log into Training peaks to see that comment. This will not happen via email anymore. What does this mean for everyone? It means that everyone will likely log into the app a bit more often, and it also means that if you have a question for your coach, it should be emailed to the coach (not written in the notes of a workout). Questions or comments that are written in workout notes, may get responded to a little slower. So if you have an important question or comment, just send your coach an email!

We are here to try to answer your questions, but just remember, your coach is still learning this new system as well.
