Three unique competitions will take place throughout the weekend, and teams will work together to accumulate points. Points earned will be added to the season-long Collective Cup rankings The team with the most Collective Cup points at the end of the weekend will be crowned CHAMPIONS of The 2023 Collective Cup.

Each competition for CLASH of The Teams is outlined below. Read up on the details and start strategizing. Prizes will be awarded to members from the top placing teams!

THE COMPETITIONS

Jingle “Bells To The Wall”

Max points: 1000

Let’s turn some heads at the first event of the weekend! The Jingle Jog 5K takes place on Friday evening, prior to our very own welcome party. The competition is simple: recruit as many people as possible to participate under your team’s name. Team members, training partners, family and friends are all welcome. We will assemble at the start line and run together, as a group. Everyone who participates (including all those family members and friends) is invited to our Team Village post-5K for our welcome party, and our next competition! IMPORTANT: Everyone must use the team code during registration to be counted.

Scoring: The team with the most participants registered will be awarded 500 points, the second most will be awarded 450 points, and so on.

Smells Like Team Spirit

Max points: 1000

Show off your holiday, and team, spirit by decorating your team's section of our Team Village when you arrive in Daytona. Our welcome party will occur immediately after the Jingle Jog 5K on Friday evening. Once everyone has arrived, all team members will pose for one photo in front of their decor. Those photos will be used to determine which team has the best decorations. Costumes are encouraged and will likely increase your team’s chances of winning! IMPORTANT: Make sure your team’s decor is ready for judging before the Jingle Jog 5K on Friday evening.

Scoring: All photos will be posted online for voting by every other team in the Collective. The team with the most popular photo will be awarded 500 points, the second most popular will be awarded 450 points, and so on.

Top Guns

Max points: 1000

You and your teammates will earn a cumulative team score for your rankings in races throughout the weekend. Individual Triathlon and Duathlon finishes will be scored by age group, and relays will be scored by overall placement. Note: The Jingle Jog 5K will NOT be counted for this competition.

Scoring: “Cross-Country style” scoring will be used for this competition. That means your finish place (in your age group) will equal your score. A team’s total score will be the sum of the lowest 5 scores. For example, if you finish 5th in your age group in the Sprint Triathlon, you are awarded 5 points. The team with the lowest combined score will be awarded 1000 points, the second lowest will be awarded 900 points, and so on.

Who will be crowned CHAMPIONS of The 2023 Collective Cup ?

The three competitions that make up CLASH of The Teams will be the final chance of the season to earn points towards the 2023 Collective Cup! The competitions, which are outlined above, award points that will accumulate throughout the weekend. The winning team of each competition will be awarded the maximum number of points for that competition. Less points will be awarded to the second-place team, all the way down to the last place team. This should keep the overall competition close until the very end! Points earned during CLASH of The Teams will be added to any existing Collective Cup points that a team has earned throughout the season. At the close of the weekend, the team with the most points will be crowned CHAMPIONS of The 2023 Collective Cup.
