The Skaha 2 is the best 2-bike rack Swagman makes. It's hitch-mounted and can carry up to 120 lbs, so it works even with our e-bikes. We've got two favorite features of this rack. First, it holds the bike by the wheels, which means zero frame contact, which makes us feel way better about our carbon frames. Second, the rack tilts down even when the bikes are mounted, which is insanely handy when you need to access your rear trunk!

This is one of Swagman's more cost-effective choices that still gets you all the essential features. We love the zero frame contact design for our carbon bikes, and the ability to tilt it out of the way, even when loaded, to access the vehicle's rear truck is insanely convenient. While there's no built-in lock on the ratchet arms, there is still a locking anchor point so you can add your own U-lock. It's also worth noting that there's a 3rd Bike Add-On accessory, which is a no brainer if you carpool to group rides.

This is our roof-mounted top pick. You might need a roof mounted rack if you don't have a hitch or need to reserve your hitch for towing. The Race Ready rack is for single bikes, and uses a ratchet arm to clamp the front wheel. This is ideal because it means no frame contact on that precious carbon bike! You would need to have existing crossbars on your car to mount this to, but it comes with universal hardware that's been compatible with every crossbar we've seen so far. We especially like that the rack has a built in lock for security, and of course folds down when not in use so we can leave it mounted all season long.
